Welcome, and thank you for visiting Sunny Side Missionary Baptist Church online. We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship, and service opportunities available. Our Mission

Our Mission is to teach people to reach their spiritual maturity, stay connected to God, live a Christ-like life, and share the gospel throughout the world. Our vision is that all people are God's children, and Christ's message and ministry is the hope for the world.
Our History
​
Sunny Side Missionary Baptist Church was founded in 1960 in the area of old Sunny Side located near Scott Street and Holmes Road. The late Rev. Elbert Randolph Curvey was the church's original founder and a long standing leader in the community. Under the current leadership of Rev. Horace Allison, the church has been able to carry on many traditions of our ministry through the spread of the Gospel to our fellow man, the formal study of God's Holy Word, and the maintenance of an atmosphere of worship in spirit and truth.
Church Services
​
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we recommend social distancing with marked and designated seating, taking and recording temperatures of all guests and members that enter the building, and wearing masks upon entry to all services and events. As we continue to transition from online meetings to in-person services and events, we prioritize everyone's health and safety, and we continue to pray for those impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sunday School: Sundays at 9:45 am CST
Sunday Morning Worship: Sundays at 11:00 am CST
Bible Study: Tuesdays at 7:00 pm CST​
